What ACCW is doing in Liberia
We support 2 medical clinics in Liberiaone in Paynesville and one in Buchanan. Food and clothing was provided to war orphans through our 72 affiliated churches. Elementary education was provided through our 17 affiliated schools.
Our clinics and schools have served about 1,200 children during 2004-2005.
During the civil war our 72 churches conducted feeding programs when we could get foodand turned their facilities into housing for the thousands of displaced children and their parents. At one time Pastor Abba Karnga’s house had over 100 people jammed into it children and adults. Some of our buildings were destroyed during this time.
The people who are hurt the most are the childrenthey have witnessed the worst kind of violence, often seen their parents and family members killed and yet somehow they have survived. These are the children we continue to seek to help.
